Digital Downloads & Delivery
What exactly do I receive when I purchase a pattern?+
You receive an instant-download PDF file containing full row-by-row crochet instructions, stitch charts, material lists, gauge notes, progress photos, and a QR code linking to HD video tutorials. No physical item is shipped.
How do I receive my download?+
Immediately after your payment is confirmed, you will receive an email from support@crochevia.shop containing a secure download link. Click the link to save the PDF to your device.
How long until I receive my download?+
Downloads are delivered instantly β typically within 1-2 minutes of payment confirmation. If you haven't received your email within 10 minutes, please check your spam folder first.
My download link isn't working. What should I do?+
Download links are valid for 30 days from purchase. If your link has expired or isn't working, contact us at support@crochevia.shop with your order number and we will resend it immediately.
Can I re-download my pattern?+
Yes. Contact support@crochevia.shop with your order number and email address and we will resend your download link within 1 business day.
What file format are the patterns?+
All patterns are delivered as PDF files (Portable Document Format). This is compatible with virtually all devices and operating systems.
What devices can I use to read the PDF?+
You can read your pattern on a PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android phone, Android tablet, Kindle Fire, or any device that supports PDF files. We recommend a larger screen (tablet or computer) for the best experience.
What apps can I use to open the PDF?+
Any PDF reader will work. Popular choices include: Adobe Acrobat Reader (free, all platforms), GoodNotes (iPad), Notability (iPad), Apple Books (iOS/Mac), Preview (Mac), and Google Drive PDF viewer.
Can I print my pattern?+
Yes! All Crochevia patterns include a print-friendly summary page. We recommend printing on standard A4 or US Letter paper at 100% scale. Every pattern includes a print-friendly clean version.
Is my download secure?+
Yes. All download links are unique, personal, and time-limited. Our website uses 256-bit SSL encryption for all data transmission.
Payments & Pricing
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All transactions are encrypted and processed by PCI-DSS compliant payment providers.
Is it safe to pay on Crochevia?+
Absolutely. Our checkout uses 256-bit SSL encryption. We never store your full card details on our servers. All payment processing is handled by industry-leading secure payment processors.
What currencies do you accept?+
Our default currency is USD. We also support GBP (British Pounds) and EUR (Euros) via our market selector in the header. Prices are automatically converted at current market rates.
Will I be charged any taxes?+
Tax obligations vary by country. Where required by law (such as VAT in the EU/UK), applicable tax may be added at checkout based on your location.
I was charged but didn't receive my download. What do I do?+
Please contact support@crochevia.shop immediately with your order number. This is rare but we will investigate within 2 hours and either resend your download or issue a full refund.
Can I get an invoice for my purchase?+
Yes. Contact support@crochevia.shop with your order number and we will provide a formal PDF invoice within 1 business day.
Refunds & Returns
Can I get a refund?+
Due to the instant digital nature of our products, refunds are generally not available once a file has been downloaded. However, we review every case with a customer-first approach. See our full Refund Policy for details.
When will you grant a refund?+
We will always issue a refund if: (1) the download link did not work and you could not access the file, (2) you accidentally purchased the same pattern twice, (3) you received the wrong file. Contact us within 7 days of purchase.
I downloaded the wrong pattern by mistake. Can I exchange it?+
Contact us within 7 days at support@crochevia.shop. We will review the situation and do our best to help you get the right pattern.
How long do refunds take?+
Once approved, refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Do you offer partial refunds?+
In some situations where only part of a bundle order was affected, we may offer a partial refund. Contact our support team to discuss your specific case.
Crochet Patterns
What skill level are your patterns?+
We have patterns ranging from Complete Beginner (no crochet experience needed) to Intermediate. Every product page clearly displays the difficulty level badge before you purchase.
Do your patterns use US or UK crochet terms?+
All Crochevia patterns are written in US crochet terminology. Each pattern also includes a US-to-UK conversion chart for international crafters.
What size will the finished plushie be?+
The finished size is listed on every product page under 'Technical Specifications.' Finished sizes may vary slightly based on yarn weight choice, hook size, and personal tension.
What yarn do I need?+
Each pattern includes a complete materials list with the exact yarn weight, fiber content, and color recommendations. You do not need to buy our specific yarn β any equivalent weight yarn will work.
Do the patterns include step-by-step photos?+
Yes! Every pattern includes full-color progress photography showing key construction steps, assembly techniques, and embroidery guidance.
Are the video tutorials free?+
Yes. Every Crochevia pattern includes a QR code inside the PDF that links to free HD video tutorial content on our channel.
Can I use a different yarn than what's recommended?+
Yes, yarn recommendations are guidelines. The most important factor is using the correct yarn weight category (e.g., DK, Worsted). Using a different brand will not affect the pattern instructions.
What hook size do I need?+
The recommended hook size is listed on every product page and in the pattern. Using a different hook size will change your gauge and therefore the finished size of the project.
Does the pattern teach me how to crochet from scratch?+
Our patterns assume basic crochet knowledge (how to make a magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease). If you are a complete beginner, we recommend following our free beginner guides in the blog first.
Are patterns available in other languages?+
Currently all Crochevia patterns are written in English. We are working on translations for Spanish, French, and German for future releases.
Printing & Devices
How do I print my pattern?+
Open the PDF in any PDF reader (Adobe Reader recommended) and select File > Print. Print at 100% scale (do not scale to fit). Choose your paper size (A4 or US Letter) as noted in the pattern header.
Do I need a color printer?+
Color is helpful for progress photos, but not required. Every pattern includes a print-friendly black-and-white summary page specifically designed to save ink.
Can I open the PDF on my tablet?+
Yes! Tablets are excellent for following patterns. Use apps like GoodNotes or Notability (iPad) to annotate the pattern, highlight completed rows, and add notes.
Can I share the PDF with a friend?+
No. Each purchased PDF is licensed for personal use by the purchaser only. Sharing, forwarding, or distributing the PDF is a violation of our copyright. Friends may purchase their own copy.
Can I upload the PDF to Ravelry or similar platforms?+
No. Uploading our PDFs to any platform, cloud service, or file-sharing site is strictly prohibited. Please see our Copyright Policy for details.
Licensing & Commercial Use
Can I sell finished items I make from your patterns?+
Yes! You may sell handmade finished items created from Crochevia patterns at craft fairs, markets, or your Etsy shop, provided you credit 'Crochevia' as the pattern designer. This is included in your personal use license.
Can I sell the pattern PDF itself?+
No. Reselling, sharing, or redistributing the PDF file is strictly prohibited. You purchased a personal use license for the instructions only.
Can I use patterns to teach crochet classes?+
Teaching from Crochevia patterns in paid classes requires a Commercial License. Contact support@crochevia.shop for commercial licensing inquiries.
Can I mass-produce and sell large quantities of finished items?+
Mass commercial production requires a Commercial License. Personal license covers small-batch handmade craft sales only. Contact us at support@crochevia.shop for commercial inquiries.
Can I include your patterns in a book or publication?+
No, without written permission from Crochevia. Contact support@crochevia.shop for rights and permissions inquiries.
Who owns the copyright of the patterns?+
All crochet pattern designs, photographs, and written content are the exclusive intellectual property of Crochevia. Copyright is retained in full by Crochevia even after purchase.
Technical Support
I didn't receive my confirmation email. What do I do?+
First, check your spam or junk mail folder. If it's not there after 10 minutes, contact support@crochevia.shop with the email address you used at checkout and we will locate your order.
My PDF is corrupted or won't open. What should I do?+
Try downloading the file again using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari). If the issue persists, email support@crochevia.shop and we will send you a fresh copy immediately.
The pattern PDF seems incomplete or has missing pages. What do I do?+
Contact support@crochevia.shop immediately. We will verify your file and send a complete replacement within 24 hours. This type of issue is extremely rare.
The pattern doesn't work for me and my finished size is wrong. Why?+
The most common cause is a tension (gauge) difference. Each pattern specifies a required gauge. If your gauge differs, you'll need to adjust your hook size. See our Gauge Guide in the blog for help.
What is your support response time?+
We respond to all support emails at support@crochevia.shop within 24 hours on business days (Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm Central Time).
